The design district spans along King street east from Church street to Sackville Street, and between Adelaide street and Front Street. If you’re in the area this weekend, be sure to stop by.
The inaugural event will combine various staples of glamorous lifestyle found in the city of Toronto, and will offer the opportunity for venues within the district to showcase the best of local and international design from appliances and furniture to red wine and dining. Sub-Zero and Wolf are event sponsors, and their appliance showroom is sure to be filled with kitchen inspiration for all.
Stroll through the district and check out the most recent collections by popular designers, including Klaus Nienkämper’s 60-year history of renowned furniture.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn about carpet-making (Modern Weave’s Michael Pourvakil will be teaching rug 101 to guests), venture on design trips and get in-store interior consultations.
The event encourages the public to experience the growth in the area, stemming from King street East’s pioneers to the newest additions of design outlets in the neighbourhood. (The number of furniture stores and showrooms has doubled in the area in the last five years.)
Visit the exhibition from Saturday September 29th at 11am to Sunday September 30th at 4pm. Click here to purchase your trip passport!
